Hiya! Welcome to another Pink Elephant’s post. Today is Tuesday, so of course we’re going to have review on our lovely manhwa, Fluttering Feelings. Today’s review is going to be for chapter 22-24.
But before I start, I will like to pay tributes and give credits where they are due. First off, thank you Ssamba for blessing us with this great manhwa, which I’m sure we’ll spend countless of hours reading and fangirling over the 2 characters. I also want to thank the translators and staffs for doing an awesome job in translating and uploading because without you guys, I wouldn’t know shit of what I’m reading and experience this awesomeness romance.
Here is the link to the Facebook Page on Fluttering Feelings: https://www.facebook.com/FlutteringFeelings
Also, go on Comico to support Ssamba so she can get more views on the manhwa. I know the chapter gets lock after 3 days but during the 3 days time, at least go on there to show support. You don’t need to understand Korean, you can just look at the artworks. They are as amazing as the story line.
Okay, let’s get started.
Oh, did I mention that this is a yuri manhwa? Well, it is.
Later in the night, after an awesome date.
OMG. Seol-A in glasses?! Shite, she’s sexiii. Anyway, she looks kinda sad. Don’t tell me she gets affect by No-Rae’s comment on other girls are pretty?
Oooh. No-Rae never talks about anybody like this before and Seol-A is the first one she talks about, ooooohhh.
Lol, wait what?
Oh, okay. Well, I guess this is not surprising. She does seem like someone who is nice to everyone and doesn’t judge others base on what she see.
Uh-oh. I can already see where this is going. So for Seol-A to easily become friend with No-Rae, that isn’t hard. The hard part is, is to get inside No-Rae’s heart.
What you mean, Seol-A? You don’t need to do anything. You don’t need to try to get pass the outer wall, you already gone through it. It’s just that both No-Rae and yourself don’t know about it yet.
The next night or sometimes in the future. The professor and the students gather together to just chat, No-Rae, Seol-A and the
dude Ji-Hwan are all there.
No-Rae doesn’t notice a lot of things but when it comes to Seol-A, she notices everything. It’s called a lover instinct.
Seol-A doesn’t seem like herself. Could it be that she stressing herself out from thinking too much about No-Rae?
Okayyy. Is this an accident, No-Rae? Or you just want to have an excuse so you can go and look for Seol-A?
( ﾟoﾟ) You sure you don’t want to look, Seol-A? Or are you scare that you may not able to control yourself? (
Oh freaking hell! Can we have some nice things for a change. Always when we’re about to get something good, bitches have to come.
Back to the bitches gossiping. Urgh, sometimes girls are so annoyinggggg.
Not only are they messing with my Seol-A, they stepping on No-Rae too. Anybody have a knife? Bitches are going down tonight.
My poor babies, they have to hear everything.
Yeah, No-Rae go out and beat those bitches up! I support you!
My Seol-A… ಥ_ಥ
This is so heart-breaking.
Seol-Ah, you’re not fine and it doesn’t make it fine because it happens multiple times.
I know Seol-A is not as strong as she appears to be, so all these insecurities are expected but it still hurts you know. Because those people can contain their jealousies and insecurities, they take it out on her. (She’s an easy target)
Are you upset because you think she’s nice to you like she’s nice to everyone? You shouldn’t be. Don’t you remember, Hee-Jin said you’re special.
I think I’m about to cry…
Is that a promise, No-Rae?
This is the first time that I’m seeing how vulnerable Seol-A is. She is not like this even during the freaking incident at the beginning with the creepy ex.
And somehow, just a coincident, again, Ji-Hwan stumbles upon the conversation and overhears everything. I said it too many time so I’m not going to say it again. (But still! This guy is everywhere!)
Wowww… pretty. I kinda miss No-Rae with long hair.
This scene, for some reason I don’t like…
Luring her with soda, tsk tsk. And this girl is falling for it too!
Nobody can resist No-Rae’s charms. Mwhahahahahahahahahaha
Uh-oh, somebody is starting to fall for somebody.
Shittttt! I did not see this coming. Omg, No-Rae is kissing another person, is not Seol-A and is a guy! I have to go wash my eyes.
I feel you, bro. This is depressing.
No-Rae and Ji-Hwan are out eating and catching up I guess. I feel like whenever they’re together, the only thing they talk about is be safe and school. Are these the only things you guys have in common with each other. Oh wait, I forget. Seol-A.
You can feel the anxiousness oozing out from the phone.
I really don’t like the smile from you, bro. Seems creepy.
They’re at some rich people event, don’t really know.
Pretty people’s problem. I wouldn’t know.
And of course Seol-A contains herself the whole night but in the end she isn’t strong enough. No-Rae has too much power on her.
The previous review on the previous three chapters, Ssamba gives us cute and adorable scenes from the two girls. But then for this review on these three chapters, BAM!, angst and depression. From chapter 22, we get to learn more about No-Rae, in chapter 23 we get to learn about Seol-A and in chapter 24 we have Ji-Hwan. We have all these character developments but none of them are good things I want to gush about, especially in chapter 23 when Seol-A is so close to crying in front of No-Rae. (Has Seol-A ever cries in front of anybody?)
We started off in chapter 22 with a flashback from Seol-A on the conversation she had with No-Rae’s friend, Hee-Jin. We learned from Hee-Jin that No-Rae was a chill person, she could easily made friend with anybody and it wasn’t hard getting close to her. So for Seol-A to make friend with her, that wasn’t hard, what was hard was to get close to her after that. After hearing this from Hee-Jin, Seol-A stressed herself out thinking on what she should do to get close to No-Rae and she probably lost some sleep while thinking about it. You could tell from chapter 23, when she didn’t feel good at the gathering.
To made matter worse, we then had two girls gossiping about Seol-A’s life and her string of boys. This was the first time that we saw Seol-A getting hurt. The freak incident with the ex in the beginning was painful but it was more of a shock and scare then her being hurt by what happen. However, the bathroom scene, even though Seol-A already knew how other girls felt about her, to actually hear the words, it had cut her. Luckily, our knight in shining armor, No-Rae, was with her and was able to comfort her a little. (Although Seol-A believed No-Rae did it because she was nice and not because she really cared about her) Then there was the promise. The promise that Seol-A made No-Rae to partake in, although No-Rae never actually answered. This promise could be something important later on.
Then in chapter 24, we focused on Ji-Hwan. I already had a feeling in the previous chapters that he made had some feelings toward No-Rae, which was kind of obvious during the beach scene. Then with the flashback scenes and him being upset when he saw her with her boyfriend, it was just a nail in the coffin that he had feeling for her a long way back. I could take a guess that he would probably confess to her back then if she wasn’t dating. But then later he had to join the army and No-Rae broke up with her boyfriend and that was that. So with the last scene of him telling Seol-A that he asked No-Rae to date him, it was just something he would have done back then if he had the chance.
Maybe Ssamba is going to turn this story into a love triangle (please jezuz no) and maybe then it will force Seol-A or No-Rae into thinking about their feelings. Whatever it is, I just hope the angst doesn’t drag out too long. I want my cute and adorable moments back.
