Hi y’all. Welcome back to Tuesday and I’m Eggy and this is Pink Elephant!
With today being Tuesday, of course we’re going to have review for our lovely manhwa, Fluttering Feelings. You can go back to my previous posts for reviews on old chapters. Today, we’re going to review on chapter 10-12.
Before I start, I will like to pay tributes and give credits where they are due. First off, thank you Ssamba for blessing us with this great manhwa, which I’m sure we’ll spend countless of hours reading and fangirling over the 2 characters. I also want to thank the translators and other staffs for doing an awesome job in translating and uploading because without you guys, I wouldn’t know shit of what I’m reading and experience this awesomeness romance.
Here is the link to the Facebook Page on Fluttering Feelings: https://www.facebook.com/FlutteringFeelings
Also, go on Comico to support Ssamba so she can get more views on the manhwa. I know the chapter gets lock after 3 days but during the 3 days time, at least go on there to show support. You don’t need to understand Korean, you can just look at the artworks. They are as amazing as the story line.
Okay, let’s get started.
Oh, did I mention that this is a yuri manhwa? Well, it is.
What a refreshing beginning, we’re starting the chapter with the two soulmates going on a date!
Seol-A, you will unnerve me too if I ever see you. (But you don’t even exist ◕︵◕)
What do you do when you go on a date?
OMG! Is that an indirect ‘I Love You’ from No-Rae?
To eat, drink and be happy of course! See how happy they are? The girls are enjoying themselves. We’re off to a good start with this chapter.
But of course, we can’t have Seol-A anywhere without the guys looking or peeking at her. She is really the epitome of beauty, no one can resist her. Anyway, forget about the guys and their leery looks. Let’s focus back on our girls.
I notice that No-Rae hasn’t been seen wearing dresses, skirts or even high heels.
Aww, good things must come to an end but at least they enjoy their date.
This girl is really popular.
Ooh, another character. What is this?
This girl has some fire. She’s even scaring Seol-A a little.
I like this girl, she cares about Seol-A. Is this one of the rare girl-friends that Seol-A has that doesn’t gossip about her? And she seems pretty close to Seol-A if she knows about her brothers. (Two times referencing on how Seol-A’s brothers are scary and protective, lol I can’t wait until No-Rae meets them.)
This girl is on a roll. It’s like those scenes in those chick flick movies, where the main girl falls in love with the guy(girl) and she can’t stop thinking about him(her) and when her friend asks why she’s so happy, she just uncontrollably starts to spill out how happy he(she) is making her and how awesome this person is and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, that’s what I’m getting. The point is, No-Rae, without a mistake, has taken over a place in Seol-A’s heart but the girl doesn’t know. Tsk, tsk.
See? Even the friend is judging her. Is this girl dump or what?
But what’s with the long face? It seems like Min-Jeong is not happy that Seol-A is happy that she has a new friend. Hmm?
And we’re back in school the next day.
I can sense some angst coming my way.
Use her in the past? Are you implying my No-Rae is using Seol-A? That’s ridiculous! Seriously, I like you. I do, Min-Jeong. You look great, you’re a good friend to Seol-A but seriously? Seriously?! Why do you think No-Rae will be like one of those girls.
Yeah, believe in your woman, Seol-A.
Sigh. I can already see where this is going.
Shit, No-Rae. You have to go and ask that question and now Seol-A is going to misunderstand you. Then you two will start to play ‘why is she avoiding me, what did I do wrong-why did she has to use me, we’re getting along just fine’ game.
Clearly this girl is lying. She got a text from the dude just a couple chapters back.
And then this is where thing gets shitty awkward. Damn, that dude.
She’s not a very good liar.
Sounding her out? Even if they had date in the past, why do you care No-Rae? Hmm? Hmmmmm?
Oh, my Seol-A. I feel your pain but be reasonable. No-Rae? Of all people? The clumsy, ordinary, go with the flow college girl? Tsk, tsk.
I hope he’s not a main cast, that’s he just popping in these few chapters. Cause he’s clearly messing up the chi around here.
Obviously, we know who’s texting to the dude?
I know why. Cause she’s in love.
Romance won’t get build up without a little obstacle involves. You know you don’t have to go through this if you don’t listen to your friend or maybe believe in your girl a little. (On a side note, look at the legs and the shoulder. (´▽`) )
Okay. Maybe, it won’t hurt to be a little more cautious of the people around you. My poor baby, you really go through a lot but that the more reason you shouldn’t push No-Rae away.
Wow, this bitch. Did I ever mention that I don’t like girls with bangs? No wonder Seol-A is scare that No-Rae will betray her. Why can’t girls just get along? Sheesh, what’s with all these scheming?
Shit, what happen? She was having a flashback about her past and then suddenly a crash? That look like some kind of accident with someone on a motorcycle? Seol-A got hit or is she the one riding the bike?
She’s pretty shaken up. Something must have happen in the past, something dark, something sinis- anyway, let’s move on.
Whatcha eating, No-Rae? ~curry, curry, india, india~
We’re finally get to meet Seol-A’s brother. Yay! Does beauty runs through the blood of the Baek family? Goodness, they all look so gorgeous.
We then have some brother and sister bonding scenes. See how loving they are.
This girl has no mercy.
To trust or not to trust, that is the question.
As we’re progressing through the story line, we’re getting deeper not only into the story but the characters as well. From these 3 chapters, we’re able to peek into Seol-A’s past. Things are slowly changing and problems are starting to rise. We’re finally get to see the first obstacle that the 2 characters will be facing.
In chapter 10, everything was fine and dandy and the two girls even went out on a date! That was pretty awesome. We got to see the girls interacting with each other and building up their relationship. As viewers, we got to spazz on the cute moments. Holla! However, that didn’t last long. We were introduced with a new character, Seol-A’s friend, Min-Jeong. She played an
evil crucial role because she was the one that warned Seol-A to be careful on who she chose to be friend with and that really got Seol-A thinking. I mean really thinking. She started to get suspicious of No-Rae and started to wonder if the other girl had an ulterior motive on being close to her, to try to get close to Ji-Hwan. She got herself so worked up that she got annoy with everything and started to have mood swings. But did she forget that it was her that initiate their friendship first?
We also discovered about Seol-A’s past, during the time in high school(?) where she was used by the people she trusted. Maybe it could be one of the reasons that she never really got close to anyone and then there was this mysterious crash that was shown in her flashback. We didn’t get to see much but I would put a 100 bucks on it that the accident would become something important later on. (I almost forgot about the accident until I went back and re-read the chapter, lol. Ssamba, you sneaky.)
With these chapters going, I feel like this the beginning of the misunderstanding journey. In almost all romantic stories, movies and drama, there is at least a part in the story where there is some kind of misunderstanding going on between the main characters. This method is a quick way to create drama and angst between characters but without making either of the characters seem like asshole.
This is the first problem that the two girls will be facing and I know there will be plenty more to come.
